MELTDOWN IN DETROIT - 600,000 UNINSURED AS MEXICANS LOOT BILLIONS IN "FREE" HEALTHCARE IN AMERICA'S OPEN BORDERS

Barack Obama created more debt for the middle class than any president in US history, and also had the only huge QE programs: $4.2 Trillion.

OXFAM reported that during Obama’s terms, 95% of the wealth created went to the top 1% of the world’s wealthy.

Thousands attend free health care event in Detroit
By a WSWS reporting team
10 August 2017
Thousands of metro Detroit residents, seeking dental and optical care, are attending a free health clinic, which started Wednesday at the Cobo Hall convention center. Hundreds lined up outside before doors opened at 6 a.m. highlighting the medical crisis in the state, where an estimated 600,000 residents are uninsured and far more cannot afford high co-pays and deductibles. The three–day event is expected to attract more than 4,000 people.
The Motor City Medical Mission (MCMM) was organized by California and Florida-based religious institutions—Freedom Clinic and United Hands—which have held similar events with volunteer medical professionals throughout the US and other countries.
“The primary need is dental care,” Ann Burnett, executive director of the Motor City Medical Mission Project, told the World Socialist Web Site. “Those that come in are in many cases living with pain and can’t get treatment for things such as abscesses. We also have eye exams and can give them reading and prescription glasses. One gentleman came in for dental services and we were able to pick up early stages of cancer, and probably saved his life.
Comparing health conditions in the US to Latin American countries her group has gone to, Burnett said, “We just came back from Suriname and there are a lot of similarities with the US. There was only one country we were blown away with, and that was Guatemala. Only two out of very 1,000 to 1,500 people we saw suffered from diabetes or hypertension. We were used to seeing a figure of 70 percent in the US, some of it undiagnosed.”
“We are struck by how large the need is locally,” said Dr. David Williams, who is on the board of United Hands and is a professor of public health, sociology and African American studies at Harvard. “We are seeing people who are employed, but can’t afford a tooth extraction. The US ranks near the bottom in health care. Even Cuba has a higher life expectancy than the US.”
Those attending included entire families, employed and unemployed workers, retirees, and military veterans, who were made up of different races, nationalities and ages. There was overwhelming anger over the lack of affordable health care, with many expressing anger against both Trump and Obama, and insisting that necessities like teeth cleanings, fillings and a pair of glasses should be basic rights for everyone. Some who spoke with WSWS reporters were in visible pain.
“Outside all the glitz and neon lights in the downtown area, in the neighborhoods working class people haven’t had any wage increases and they can hardly take care of their families,” said Jeremy, who has worked restaurant jobs and is studying for his Commercial Driver’s License. “My dad was the only one who worked and he raised a family of four in a suburban home. Now me and my wife both work and we struggle to make ends meet.
“I’m here for dental work because we don’t have insurance. I need at least two implants and a couple of fillings. I can’t drink any cold or hot foods. You learn deal with the pain. There’s lots of people in pain, that’s why there’s the opioid crisis. It is a lot cheaper to hand somebody oxycodone than pay for their physical therapy.
Antoinette brought her mother, Yvonne, a retired federal worker, for dental care. “The retirees paid their dues and they should be given the medical care they were promised. America is the richest country in the world. The senators don’t have the same insurance we do. Everyone should have medical care,” she said.
Of the pharmaceutical corporations, Karen said, “They don't want cures; they want paychecks.” Speaking of her brother, who was given at least five stents before finally receiving a triple-bypass surgery, she said the insurance companies are “doing just enough to keep the patients alive,” when they ought to be addressing patients' real medical problems.
Candice White, a home health and drug rehabilitation aide, said, “If you work in the medical field the insurance costs so much. They take $200 out of every paycheck for health insurance, plus $11 for dental. After taxes, I’m bringing home $600 every 10 tens, and that’s if I get full-time hours.”
Pat Stephens, who used to work for Texas Instruments in Dallas, said, “These corporations are making all kinds of money and they are nickel and diming workers on health benefits. Texas Instruments was a revolving door: the older workers were quitting after not getting any raises and the new ones were coming in at half the pay.
“The government should make the employers pay for health care and public schools. The government bailed out the banks and the auto companies. I’m going around with my teeth hurting and don’t have thousands for implants or fillings. We should get the exact same health care as the senators.”
Karen Turner-Bryant is a worker at Fiat Chrysler. Commenting on the role of the United Auto Workers union, she said, “They told us to vote in favor of the last contract because it was as good as it's going to get.” Now she can’t afford her prescription medication or glasses, and is forced to wait in line at the free clinic for medical attention.
“The whole system needs to be reorganized,” said Sylvia. “There should be universal health care. Proactive care is better than reactive care. That would be the goal. It’s the same thing with education. It should not be about which district or area you live, it should be for everyone. Instead, all the money goes to waste in the wars.
“Congress votes to pay themselves, but they won’t raise the minimum wage. Health care costs are going up, living expenses are going up, but the budget of taking care of people hasn’t. There are people making money off the people who are struggling. Elections are just putting a plug on the boat. It’s still going to sink. You have to start with a rebuilding of the whole boat.”
“I’ve been following the health care crisis for eight years—it sucks,” said Tobie. “It’s just a bunch of politicians giving lip service. People are hurting, and they don’t care. You can’t use your health insurance because your deductible is so crazy high. So, what’s the use of getting it? Me and my wife are paying $14,000 a year for health insurance for a family of four, and we can’t afford to go to the doctor.
“They’ve got money but they’d just as soon put it into missiles and bombs instead of helping people here. They’re always looking to start another war. They want to go liberate Iraq and Afghanistan, why? So, they can’t have any health insurance either? They’re going to make it just like here? What’s so great about here? They say they want to spread our message, but it isn’t a very good message.”
“The top five percent of people have all the money, and they say it’s going to trickle down to other people. But they’re just going to keep all their money.”
Josefean is on Medicare, but “that does nothing,” she said. She was given the run-around when she tried to enroll on the Obamacare exchanges. One person would direct her to the next, in an endless chase of phone calls. “All they care about is money.”
Darrell has health insurance with Blue Cross Blue Shield through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) exchange. He complained that many places don't accept his insurance, and that he has to pay out of pocket. Dental care isn't covered under his plan.
Rosetta complained about the “health care racket,” in which she has to struggle to pay $500 per month for insurance. The stress of this financial burden might “give me high blood pressure,” for which the pharmaceutical companies promote drugs that create their own side-effects, creating a snowball effect of prescriptions and ailments.
Chufon waited in line for dental care. She works as an “independent contractor,” which allows her employer to avoid paying for any healthcare. She expressed anger over the opioid epidemic. “The government allows these pharmaceutical companies to sell those pills, knowing full well what happens. People get addicted, and then what? They turn to the streets.”
Beverly waited in line with her children. “Everybody is experiencing the same thing,” she said, looking around at the long line of people waiting for medical attention. “It doesn't matter if you have insurance; you can’t have quality healthcare.” Speaking of the ultra-wealthy and their paid politicians, she said, “I don't think anything they're doing benefits us. They have the best health care. They don't care about the small people. They only want what's good for them. Take care of the small people!”
Denise Bass, a housekeeper for 21 years lost her job two years ago. “I need to get work on my front two teeth. They did some work already but it was just a temporary fix. To get it properly fixed I’d have to pay $800 out of pocket. I can’t afford that.
“People are already suffering and they are cutting Medicaid and other programs. I recently saw on the news, lines of people at another health clinic in Virginia. “It doesn’t matter what nationality, ethnicity, race you are, everyone needs healthcare at some point. That’s life, you need it to live.”
Tony Valentine drives a shuttle bus for the Detroit Medical Center. “Trump is a business person who wants everyone to work–even senior citizens who have been working their whole lives. He wants to cut Medicaid. But America is the richest country in the world. There’s no reason to cut Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security or any of it.
“Up until October of last year I was getting $194 every month in food assistance. After October, it got knocked down to $19 a month. Who could survive on that? They want us to get Obamacare but that’s expensive too.”
Jamel, a small business owner, said, “The economy is not doing well for most people, many people don’t have jobs. You’ll be seeing a lot more events like this if Republicans carry through their cuts to health care.”
Therie Hill, Jr., a 73-year-old Vietnam War veteran who is ninety percent disabled due to Agent Orange poisoning, said, “I get some care through the VA because of my service but my grandson isn’t getting any of that care. He’s just a year out of high school and I’m here to get him some basic dental work.
“I am a native Detroiter and was drafted immediately out of high school. I came back in July 1967, one day before the Detroit rebellion began. I was in one war zone and came back to another. I saw tanks rolling down the street from my porch–they wouldn’t let us leave the city. You can imagine that it was even worse for me, because it brought back all of the fighting in Vietnam.”
“I filed a claim for compensation for injuries in 2002 but I’m still waiting. They’ll probably keep me waiting until I die. It’s a shame there’s a long line like this in America. Trump says he wants to make America great?” Therie said, as he gestured to the line around him. “How’s this?”

President of Latino group: ‘La Raza’ name was 'a barrier to our mission'

Janet Murguía, the president and CEO of UnidosUS, said Tuesday that the Latino advocacy organization made a tough decision to better reflect its mission last week when it dropped “La Raza” from its name.
The influential Latino civil rights organization changed its name to UnidosUS from the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) at its 49th annual conference.
Murguía told The Hill the decision was made after three-and-a-half years of research, interviews and surveys on the organization's image.
"We really wanted to make sure what we were hearing was reflective of most of our community," she said.
"We knew this step would be a big one and that not everybody would be fully supportive, but it’s hard to ignore the data and the changes that have occurred in our community," Murguía added.
The NCLR name had come under criticism from groups on the right, who pointed out that "la raza" means "the race” in Spanish, a reference that was interpreted by some as having racist undertones.
The organization got its original name in 1968 as the Southwest Council of La Raza, a reference to an academic concept put forth by Mexican intellectual José Vasconcelos in the 1930s
Vasconcelos's original idea of "la raza" was meant to unite the multi-ethnic and multi-cultural peoples of Latin America as part of one post-colonial identity group.
But Murguía says that image no longer represents Latinos in the United States.
"We’re not the same Hispanic or Latino community we were in 1968," she said. "We are a younger community — six in ten [Latinos] are millennials or younger -- and we’re a more diverse Latino community."
Murguía said the old name "appeared to be outdated" and "to have no resonance with our community."
"More than anything, our name appeared to be a barrier to our mission," she said.
UnidosUS is the country's largest Latino civil rights organization, with interests in political advocacy and research on issues like tax reform, healthcare, housing and immigration.
Murguía said the organization and the Hispanic community as a whole have achieved real gains over time in many of those areas.
"Real progress is achievable, but it takes sustained engagement and it happens not in a moment, but over time," she said.
She pointed at issues like the Affordable Care Act, which extended insurance coverage to nearly four million Latinos who previously didn’t have health insurance, and the earned income tax credit as tangible wins for Hispanics.
But Murguía said that progress is under threat.
"There’s no question that the stakes are very high for our community right now and we’re dealing with a very challenging environment," she said.
The short-term priorities for Latinos, Murguía said, include protecting those policies and counteracting the Trump administration's immigration policies.
"We want to make sure we can block the funding for a mass deportation force that Trump has called for, we can block the funding for a wall that is a waste of precious resources that will accomplish very little," she said.
"Right right now there’s no question that 'Dreamers' appear to be in the crosshairs of the Trump administration," she added, referring to so-called “Dreamers,” recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
The program, which protects from deportation nearly 750,000 people who were illegally brought to the United States as children, is facing legal challenges from Texas and nine other states.
The Trump administration has not yet said whether it will defend the program through the Justice Department.
"There’s a real risk because we’re seeing more and more that this decision making is not in the hands of the president, but also in the Attorney General [Jeff Sessions] and he’s been antagonistic to any efforts around immigration reform or any efforts to try to promote long term relief for Dreamers and others," she said.
Ultimately, Murguía said, the challenge for Hispanics will be to encourage greater political participation to reap the demographic rewards as the country's largest minority group.
Roughly one million Latinos turn 18 every year, and Hispanics are a key voting bloc in states like California, Texas and Florida. Still, voter participation has traditionally been low in the community.
"We have got to continue to build on the rolls of voters, continue to encourage anyone who’s eligible to continue to vote. Beyond that, we have to make sure there are efforts underway for those eligible to become citizens to naturalize," said Murguía.
Murguía said Latino voters, widely expected to "surge" in the 2016 election, did just that, only to be "outsurged by others."
More Latinos voted in 2016 than ever before, but participation rates remained somewhat stagnant. Still, with consistent participation rates and natural demographic growth, Latinos played an important role in states like Arizona and Colorado.
"The stakes are extremely high for our community. For those of us who maybe didn’t understand how bad things could get before the election, now we know. The truth is they could get worse," she said.
"We have to take what we’ve learned and now use our ability to participate, to mobilize, to vote, very seriously, and we need to come together as we do that," Murguía said.
IF YOU WANT TO SEE WHAT A STATE OVERWHELMED WITH IMMIGRANTS LOOKS LIKE, JUST COME TO  MEXIFORNIA!

THE CA STATE GOV HANDS ILLEGALS $30 BILLION IN SOCIAL SERVICES WITH COUNTIES HANDING OUT EVEN MORE. LOS ANGELES COUNTY HANDS MEXICAN ANCHOR BABY BREEDERS MORE THAN A BILLION!!! IN WELFARE.

MEXICANS COMMIT 93% OF ALL MURDERS IN LOS ANGELES AND NEARLY HALF OF ALL MURDERS IN CA ARE NOW BY MEX GANGS.

ISN'T IT TIME WE WORRIED ABOUT OUR OWN INVADED BORDERS AND STOPPED WORRYING ABOUT
BORDERS OVER THERE?!?

UNDERSTAND THE INVADERS.....BASIC FACTS ON LA RAZA:

La Raza has an operating budget of nearly 100 million per year. This comes from big business, such as La Raza donors Bank of America and Wells Fargo, both of which illegally open bank accounts for illegals and make billions off sub-prime mortgages to them. Another is La Raza donor Bill Gates, an advocate of open borders to depress wages for stupid gringos. La Raza also receives millions of dollars in your tax money. Yes, I repeat; your tax dollars go to support this racist party of the invaders. Harry Reid recently went to Congress and easily obtained another 5 million dollars for this racist organization. The Mexican government is obviously a major financier of La Raza and is spending 100 million in PR costs to keep the invasion in full momentum. Mexico has their surge as well. It’s on our undefended borders!

La Raza’s doctrine is that the American middle class should be Mexico’s welfare system. We pay for the free delivery of millions of illegals (now 1 in 5 in Los Angeles), educate their children, pay out welfare, which in Los Angeles County is 40 million per month, and house their criminal drug gangs in the largest prison system in the United States. The cost of depressed wages for Americans from the Mexican invasion and occupation is calculated to be 200 billion annually.
Mexico is listed by the Christian Science Monitor as one of the most corrupt nations in the world with more billionaires than even Saudi Arabia. To maintain the oligarchy’s control on their economy’s monopolies, they must dump their poor, pregnant and criminal classes over our border so we pick up their welfare and education costs. An example of Mexican economics is Carlos Slim. Slim controls Mexico’s phone monopoly. Mexicans pay the highest phone rates in the hemisphere. Carlos Slim has assets of over $70 billion.

While we are Mexico’s welfare system, the second biggest stream of money Mexico takes in is transfers from illegals working in the United States back to Mexico. This is another reason Bank of America and Wells Fargo violate Federal laws and illegally open bank accounts using fraudulent ID’s. The transfer fees are a huge cash cow for these La Raza donors. The government of Narco-Mex had set up nearly 50 Mexican consulates (compare to the UK which has 8) to hand out their phony consulate ID’s the banks are happy to pretend are legit.

FORMER LOS ANGELES MAYOR AND NOW CANDIDATE FOR GOVERNOR OF CA, ANTONIO VILLARAIGOSA IS A MEMBER OF THE MEX FASCIST PARTY of M.E.Ch.A.

Mecha's  (M.E.Ch.A.) own slogan reads, "For the race everything. For those outside the race, nothing."

The comparison to the Nazi Party is well deserved. La Raza openly supports pushing all but Latino Americans out of a portion of the United States (ethnic cleansing), they call for 'Reconquista' or the re-conquest of the American Southwest by Mexico (the re-occupation of the Sudetanland), and the establishment of 'Atzlan' which is the utopian all-Latino version of the American Southwestern states (Adolf Hitler planned to called his utopia Germania).

"Despite the fact that the majority of documented hispanics oppose illegal immigration, as do the majority of Americans, Aztlan and La Raza race hate groups have become the self-appointed voice for a separatist movement that threatens a violent overthrow of the Constitutional system and a barbaric program of ethnic cleansing.

This is held up by the media as 'diversity' and to vociferously oppose it is scorned as racism."

Jose Pescador Osuna, Mexican Consul General We are practicing "La Reconquista" in California."

"We’ve got an even more ominous enemy within our borders that promotes “Reconquista of Aztlan” or the reconquest of California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas into the country of Mexico."

"Remember 187 -- the Proposition to deny taxpayer funds for services to non-citizens --- was the last gasp of white America in California." --- Art Torres, Chairman of the California Democratic Party… NOW THE PARTY for LA RAZA SUPREMACY… do a search for Barack Obama and LA RAZA.

Half of candidates for Detroit mayor are convicted felons

The city of Detroit has been through a lot in the last decade: skyrocketing crime, bankruptcy, pension haircuts, and an exodus of residents and businesses.
The city emerged from bankruptcy in 2014 and is scraping by.  For the first time since then, the city will hold a primary contest for mayor – eight candidates, all Democrats, of course, will vie for two spots on the ballot in November.
What makes the Detroit mayoral primary perhaps unique in American history is that fully half of the candidates are convicted felons – two of whom were convicted of attempted murder.
Half of the eight mayoral hopefuls on Detroit's primary ballot next week have been convicted of felony crimes involving drugs, assault or weapons, a Detroit News analysis shows.
Three were charged with gun crimes and two for assault with intent to commit murder. Some of the offenses date back decades, the earliest to 1977. The most recent was in 2008.
Political consultant Greg Bowens said there are candidates with past hardships in every election cycle. It's not something unique to Detroit or the political arena in general, he said.
"Black marks on your record show you have lived a little and have overcome some challenges," said Bowens, a former press secretary to Detroit Mayor Dennis Archer and NAACP activist. "They (candidates) deserve the opportunity to be heard, but they also deserve to have the kind of scrutiny that comes along with trying to get an important elected position."
"Not something unique to Detroit or the political arena in general"?  Two candidates convicted of attempted murder isn't "unique"?
Yikes.
In 1977, Pitts was convicted of receiving and concealing a stolen 1977 Oldsmobile. She was sentenced to a year of probation.
A decade later, she was charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder and two firearm offenses in connection with two separate shooting incidents on March 24, 1987, Detroit Recorder's Court records say.
According to transcripts, Pitts was involved in a shootout with the owner of a collision shop and auto clinic on Greenfield in Detroit in a dispute over a repair bill.
A shootout?  City council meetings are going to be very interesting if she is elected.
Fellow candidate Danetta L. Simpson has a 1996 felony conviction out of Oakland County for assault with intent to murder.
The 46-year-old former cosmetologist and salon owner has made past bids for state representative, Detroit's school board and City Council. Her prior interaction with the criminal justice system, she said, has fueled her desire to seek public office. Simpson said she represents a "new spirit" for Detroit.
"I was a wrongfully convicted felon, overcharged for a crime I did not commit," said Simpson, a mother of four, who contends the witness in the case "lied on me."
According to court records, Simpson pleaded no contest to assault with intent to commit murder – any term of years up to life in prison – in exchange for dismissal of a firearms offense.
Incumbent Mayor Mike Duggan holds a comfortable lead over the field, with the son of a former mayor, state senator Coleman Young, Jr. in second.  It doesn't appear that any of the felons has much of a chance of making it to the November ballot.
But it is often said that the people get the government they deserve.  I don't know if anyone deserves having to make a choice between felons and crooks.

The convict candidates: HALF of the hopefuls running for Detroit mayor have records for range of crimes including attempted murder, assault and drug possession

  • Four of the eight mayoral hopefuls in Detroit are convicted felons
  • Candidate Donna Pitts, 58, was convicted of assault after cops say she got into a gun fight over an auto repair bill
  • Danetta L. Simpson, 46, candidate for Mayor, was convicted of assault with attempt to murder after an altercation led to her firing a round at a woman
  • Candidate Curtis Greene, 32, was busted for evading police and pot, he was put on probation and violated it and was sentenced to six months in jail
  • Articia Bomer, 45, another hopeful, was convicted of felony gun possession in 2009

Half of the candidates for Detroit mayor are convicted felons.
Four of the eight hopefuls who hope to face off in the election on November 7 have been busted on various felony crimes including attempted murder, assault, weapons and drug charges according to the Detroit News
Two of the candidates, Donna Marie Pitts, and Danetta L. Simpson, were both charged with attempted murder.
Mayoral hopeful Pitts, 58, exchanged fire with the owner of a collision shop in a dispute over a repair bill.

Pitts in 1987 was sentenced to three to 10 years in prison after a jury convicted her of the lesser offense of assault. She ended up serving four years and eight months behind bars.
Before that in 1977, Pitts was convicted of receiving and concealing a stolen 1977 Oldsmobile. She completed a year of probation.
Simpson, 46, has a 1996 felony conviction for assault with attempt to murder. She claims she was wrongfully convicted.

Father is brutally beaten by a gang of youths after asking them to stop smoking marijuana on a Dallas train

This is the shocking moment a 44-year-old father was beaten by a gang of youngsters on board a Dallas train after asking them to stop smoking marijuana.
Kennan Jones was attacked by the group on Sunday as they rode towards Deep Ellum in Dallas, Texas.
He had asked them to stop smoking marijuana on the Dallas Area Rapid Transit train.
The group included young men and women who punched him and threw him against the train's doors before arriving at the station.
Some of them pushed off the handle poles to kick Jones from the air.

One of the young women then hit Jones in the head with a skateboard as he lay reeling on the ground.
She calmly walked away from him afterwards with the skateboard still in her hand.
A fellow passenger filmed the attack and shared the footage with DFW, CBS's local station in Texas.
In the video, at least one other passenger tries to intervene but it slapped away.
Jones was taken to hospital after the incident but has since been released. He had visible facial injuries when he spoke to the network.

The man said he was angry the train driver did not do more to stop the attack.
'To me, they saw enough to be, to stop that moment and say, "We’re not going nowhere until police coming,"’ he said.
DART spokesman Mark Ball apologized for the man's ordeal.
'I’m so sorry it happened to him and I apologize for that.
'For him to have stood up for DART and our policies and then to be hurt by that is a tragedy.'

Rap legend Kidd Creole, 57, is charged with 'stabbing to death' a homeless convicted rapist in NYC because he thought he was 'hitting on him'

  • Rapper Kidd Creole was arrested on Wednesday night for allegedly stabbing a homeless man to death in New York
  • The 57-year-old, whose real name is Nathaniel Glover, has been charged with murder
  • The homeless man was found stabbed on a sidewalk in Midtown Manhattan on Tuesday night

  • Creole rose to fame in the 1980s as part of the Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five
Rap legend Kidd Creole has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a drunk homeless man to death in New York.

Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri was frustrated with the city's juvenile system after disclosing the teens' extensive criminal record that included several auto theft charges, reported the Tampa Bay Times
Campbell, the eldest of the boys, had a total of 27 arrests dating back to 2013 on charges that included armed robbery, cocaine possession and grand theft.
Kaigler had 20 arrests, Thomas had 15, and Keontae Brown had 16 arrests.
Goshey and Keondrae Brown, the group's youngest members at 14 years old, had 27 and 20 arrests, respectively. One of the missing arrests was not provided.
Speaking at a news conference on Monday, Gualtieri said the county had 'a serious problem and something else needs to happen,' before proposing that the boys should face more serious charges, such as murder.
Keondrae Brown and Kaigler are being held at a juvenile center for a maximum of 21 days and are both accused of grand theft auto.
Campbell, who is an adult, is being held at a jail on a $25,000 bond.

All six teens had been 'running in tandem' since they stole a Ford Explorer and a Chrysler Sebring on Thursday, Gualtieri said Sunday morning at a press conference.
He called the three teens who died 'prolific offenders' and said the incident was 'an unfortunate continuation of the epidemic of juveniles engaging in the deadly game of auto burglary and auto thefts', WFLA reported.
Adults who knew the boys said they warned them that their reckless behavior would end in tragedy, all before Sunday's accident.
Tina Webber, who is friends with Kaigler's mother, said she cautioned Kaigler and Keontae Brown just last week.
Webber said to the Tampa Bay Times: 'I looked them right in the eye and said, 'Keep stealing cars, and you're going to wind up dead or in prison.
'These kids are going to keep dying, whether they're dying in a car or in prison. Because they're young and dumb and don't know nothing.'

Two other teens were arrested Sunday morning. The six teens had been 'running in tandem' since they stole the Explorer and a Chrysler Sebring on Thursday, Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri said. Pictured are Keontae Brown (left) and Thomas (right)
Around 4am, just before the crash, a deputy saw the two stolen cars playing a 'cat-and-mouse' game, where the cars would speed up and slow down. Goshey, one of the deceased teens, is pictured

The boys stole the two cars from an auto dealership on Missouri Avenue in Clearwater, police said.
The cars weren't spotted again until around 1am Sunday, but officers were unable to apprehend the drivers. When the officer approached, they drove away and the deputy did not pursue them.
Gualtieri said the sheriff's office does not pursue stolen vehicles.
Police eventually put up a perimeter, but they were unable to find the stolen cars.
Officials claim that before the teens were spotted again at 4am, they smoked marijuana before committing a string of burglaries throughout subdivisions in Safety Harbor and Oldsmar. One of the boys was allegedly armed.
Around 4am, a deputy saw the cars again, this time playing a 'cat-and-mouse' game, Gualtieri said, where the cars would speed up and slow down.

The Explorer was going as fast as 100mph when it ran a red light and hit a car driven by 29-year-old Ricky Melendez at the intersection of US 19 and Tampa Road.
The stolen car then flew into the air, hit a billboard and rolled down the road before it burst into flames.
Melendez was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and is expected to be fine, WTSP reported.
The stolen Sebring was not involved in the crash and drove away from the scene.
They were later taken into police custody.
The three deceased teens all have extensive criminal histories, with one who was released from jail as recently as last week.
Gualtieri said the teen in the hospital and the two in custody are expected to be charged, the Bradenton Herald reported.
